How does an injured individual know if medical case management services are appropriate?
The following questions may help you determine if a referral to Rocky Mountain Rehab is warranted:
- Do you have frustrations with the recovery process?
- Do you sometimes feel lost in the medical world and don’t know where to turn?
- Do you feel “stuck,” that is, are you not medically improving like you would like to?
- Do you wonder if you are seeing the right medical provider for your condition?
- Are you or your family members not satisfied with the medical services you are receiving?
- Does there seem to be a lack of communication between two or more medical providers you see for treatment?
- Do you feel like your medical providers don’t listen to your concerns?
- Do you feel like you’re not living “normally”? Living normally may be defined as being able to perform activities of daily living without difficulties and limitations, being free of pain, and being able to work and sleep as you did prior to the injury.
- Were you working prior to the injury but are no longer able to or only at a decreased level?
- Are you depressed or anxious about your situation?
