- The Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation encourages and supports research to develop effective treatments and a cure for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury and other central nervous system disorders.
- Foundation for Spinal Cord Injury Prevention, Care & Cure
- The Foundation for Spinal Cord Injury Prevention, Care & Cure is a non-profit educational group dedicated to the prevention, care and cure of spinal cord injuries through public awareness, education and funding research.
- The Mike Utley Foundation
- The Mike Utley Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injuries. They are committed to provide motivational and emotional support for individuals who have been disabled with such injuries.
- National Spinal Cord Injury Association
- The National Spinal Cord Injury Association acts as community advocates for improved access, housing, transportation, employment, and leisure time activities for people with disabilities. The Association serves not only persons with spinal cord injuries but also persons who have diseases or conditions, whose effects are similar to those of spinal cord injuries. This includes Multiple Sclerosis, Friedreich’s Ataxia, and Spina Bifida.
- Spinal Cord Injury Network
- The Spinal Cord Injury Network is sponsored by the University of Alabama’s Rehabilitation Research & Training Center, which conducts research and training in the prevention and treatment of secondary conditions of spinal cord injury.
